Search forms send the name, phone number, or address entered to the outside provider that supplies results. Our own servers do not retain a copy of that query. A direct message gives us only the details the sender chooses to provide, and we use them to answer.

Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and time stamps. Aggregate use helps maintain the service and show which resources are useful. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How the Data Is Used
Technical and submitted data support site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and replies. We neither sell a visitor list nor create individual visitor profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Howard County offices, Maryland portals, archive collections, and outside search services each apply their own privacy terms. Information entered after following a link is controlled by that destination. The same is true for sponsored results supplied by an outside company.

The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act, Commercial Law Title 14, Subtitle 46, may give Maryland residents rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain covered personal data and to opt out of certain sale, advertising, or profiling uses. We can check our contact mailbox and logs for a request made through the Contact page. Public records held by Howard County, Maryland agencies, or courts remain outside our control and must be addressed with the custodian.
